발목 인대 손상, 운동선수의 피로골절과 아킬레스건 손상부터 무지외반증, 평발·요족, 발목 관절염, 당뇨발까지. 2009년부터 발과 발목만 진료해 온 족부 전문의로, 초음파와 관절경을 함께 쓰는 최소침습 수술을 주로 시행합니다. From ankle ligament injuries, athletes’ stress fractures and Achilles tendon injuries to bunions, flatfoot and cavus foot, ankle arthritis and diabetic foot. A foot and ankle specialist since 2009, working mainly with minimally invasive surgery that combines ultrasound and arthroscopy.

Footnote는 발(foot)과 각주(footnote)를 겹친 이름입니다. 각주가 본문의 작은 틀린 곳을 바로잡듯, 걸음을 망가뜨리는 발의 작은 문제를 찾아 고칩니다. 그래서 별명도 발 수리공입니다. 진료실에서는 고장 난 발을 고치고, 논문에서는 그 방법을 기록합니다.Footnote joins two words: the foot, and the note at the bottom of a page that corrects the text above it. My work is finding the small problems that break a person’s walk and fixing them, which is why patients call me the foot mechanic. I repair feet in the clinic and write down how in the literature.

진료실에서 초음파로 바로 확인합니다Ultrasound in the clinic room

발과 발목의 인대·힘줄은 대부분 초음파로 실시간 확인할 수 있습니다. 2011년 족부 초음파 교재를 펴낸 뒤로 진료와 수술 모두에 초음파를 써 왔습니다. 진료 중 직접 초음파를 보며 손상 부위를 설명드리고, 필요할 때만 MRI 등 추가 검사를 권합니다.Most foot and ankle ligaments and tendons can be seen with ultrasound in real time. I have used ultrasound in clinic and in the operating room since writing a foot and ankle ultrasound manual in 2011. I scan during the visit, show you the injured structure, and order MRI only when it will change the plan.

  1. 진찰과 초음파Examination and ultrasound
    증상을 듣고 진찰한 뒤 그 자리에서 초음파로 확인합니다.History, examination and an on-the-spot scan.
  2. 보존 치료 우선Non-operative care first
    보조기, 재활 운동, 주사 치료, 체외충격파 등 수술 없이 좋아질 수 있는 방법부터 시도합니다.Bracing, rehabilitation, injections and shockwave therapy come first whenever they can work.
  3. 필요할 때 최소침습 수술Minimally invasive surgery when needed
    관절경·최소침습 수술로 절개와 회복 기간을 줄이고, 신경 차단 마취와 다중 진통 프로토콜로 수술 후 통증을 줄입니다.Arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques shorten recovery; nerve-block anaesthesia and a multimodal analgesia protocol reduce pain after surgery.
